Concept
This piece is based on a deeper level of human philosophy and psychology. The concept is inspired from the experience of overthinking. The way small decisions can grow into overwhelming, self-inflicted pressure. The screaming face of the tree represents the pain of internal sabotage, while the man cutting into it reflects how we can become both the creator and the destroyer of our own progress. The brain-tree structure visualizes thoughts branching uncontrollably, turning reflection into distress. The piece draws loosely from philosophical ideas about anxiety, self-discipline and burnout, but remains open to personal interpretation.

Technical Overview
Sculpted in ZBrush, retopologized with multi-density topology and displacement maps for the man, brain and tree. UVs were created for each component, and the asset was tested and rendered in Maya before being prepared for Unreal Engine and XR display.

Brain Tree- Anatomical XR Sculpture
A sculpture created for XR, combining human form, brain and tree structures.
The Brain Tree is a surreal anatomical sculpture created as a visual exploration of overthinking and internal pressure. The piece depicts a man cutting into a tree whose branches grow into a brain, blending human form with symbolic, expressionistic elements. The sculpture was designed for XR, allowing viewers to experience the scale and detail up close inside a virtual gallery.
